The Challenge
Schwab needed a distinct employer brand within its broader corporate identity to attract candidates across different career paths. It had to adapt to specific hiring needs and remain recognizable as internal teams and outside partners put it to use.
Starting With Shared Expertise
Research across Branch, Service, and Technology audiences pointed to a shared interest in learning and career growth.
I introduced “passing it on” as the core idea, drawing from how Schwab’s specialists shared expertise to meet clients’ needs. The same exchange reflected what employees could gain: a place to contribute their knowledge and learn from others.
I developed the continuous line to express that connection. My Creative Director and Copywriter built the campaign language around it, including the “We do this so you can do that” headlines.
The career site was our largest project for Schwab. I designed every page across desktop and mobile, partnering with developers through final implementation. schwabjobs.com

Making the Line Work
I established how the line changed weight and scale and how it interacted with portraits and copy. Those rules helped it work across everything from large campaign placements to small digital ads.

Social Employee Stories in Motion
The line extended across employer profiles and employee stories. In video, it moved through the opening sequence before introducing employees speaking about their experience at Schwab.

I developed the storyboard with our Copywriter and Creative Director, then guided the animator through revisions.
Helping Teams Use the Employer Brand
Working with our Copywriter and Creative Director, I led the playbook design and helped define the visual rules. It paired audience guidance with layout examples, showing internal teams and outside partners how to apply the employer brand across recruitment and employee communications.

Evolving With Hiring Needs
As Schwab brought everyday production in-house, its talent acquisition team continued to turn to us for employer-brand guidance and larger creative assignments.
Over five years, we added templates and developed employee resource group logos and visuals that lived within the employer-brand system. For recruitment commercials tailored to specific hiring markets, I art directed the storyboards and guided production, including voice-over recording.
